        Estudio Marítimo Abogados is led by its partner Hugo Borja Iglesias, legal practitioner since 2001 and its managing director since 2016.

Hugo holds a Law degree from Complutense University of Madrid and a Maritime Law and Business Master degree from Pontifical University of Comillas in Madrid (ICADE). He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), the Spanish Maritime Law Association (AEDM), and the Spanish Association of Average Adjusters (AELA).

        Estudio Marítimo Abogados is led by its partner Hugo Borja Iglesias, legal practitioner since 2001 and its managing director since 2016.

Hugo holds a Law degree from Complutense University of Madrid and a Maritime Law and Business Master degree from Pontifical University of Comillas in Madrid (ICADE). He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association (ICAM), the Spanish Maritime Law Association (AEDM), and the Spanish Association of Average Adjusters (AELA).

With an extensive experience in extrajudicial negotiation and procedural matters, his professional activity focuses mainly on Maritime and Transport Law, Insurance and Procedural Law.

He has been involved in numerous national and international cases related to Maritime Law (cargo claims, machinery breakdowns, navigation accidents and collisions, ship arrests, general average, salvage and yachting). Also in Marine Insurance (H&M, cargo and P&I), national and international land transport (CMR) and its insurance (coverage analysis and claim settlements).
